Protect the Environment and Your Image
The California Department of Toxic Substances (CRT Emergency Regulation) prohibits the improper disposal of obsolete computer equipment. Improper handling can result in fines and other civil penalties, in addition to damaging your company’s image.

Prompt, Professional Collection from Your Facility
Business Pick-up Services are available Monday through Friday. A professional, uniformed GreenCitizen team will manage the safe removal and inventory of your obsolete electronics. You’re in good hands. GreenCitizen has been designated by the California Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) and Department of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) as an Approved Collector of electronic waste, pursuant to the Electronic Waste Recycling Act of 2003.

Environmentally Safe, Responsible Disposal
GreenCitizen is a signatory of the Basel Action Network (BAN) Electronics Recycler's Pledge of True Stewardship, the world's most rigorous environmental and social justice criteria for recycling e-waste. We partner only with the most trusted recyclers to ensure the electronics you place in our hands will be stewarded to their safest disposal. All GreenCitizen partner de-manufacturers dispose of electronic waste in accordance with State and Federal Government Regulations and are California State registered CRT Recyclers.

CONFIDENTIALITY SERVICES

Hard Disk Erasure & Destruction $30 per unit
To protect your confidential information, GreenCitizen offers hard disk erasure and destruction. Hard disks are first erased using a three-pass system that meets US Department of Defense disk sanitation standards (DoD 5220.22-M) and complies with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act. Erased disks are sent to a certified hard disk destructor where the hard disk is completely shredded. GreenCitizen closely manages this process and, if requested, will send you a certificate of hard disk destruction after the hard disk is physically shredded.

Cell Phone Erasure $5 per unit
To protect your company’s confidential information, GreenCitizen offers cell phone erasure service. This process will erase all phone numbers, names and any other information in cell phones to give you added peace of mind. In order to be erased, phones must have some power available (either in the battery or with a power adapter).
