GreenCitizen™ Receives
CIWMB Certification - January 5, 2005
PALO ALTO,
California—January 5, 2005—GreenCitizen™,
Inc. today announced it has received approval
from the California Integrated Waste Management
Board (CIWMB), in cooperation with the Department
of Toxic Substances Control (DTSC) to participate
as an Approved Collector of covered electronic
waste under the State’s Covered Electonic
Waste Recovery and Recycling Payment System,
established pursuant to the Electronic Waste
Recycling Act of 2003.
The approval allows
GreenCitizen to accept electronic equipment for
reuse or recycling and receive state-funded reimbursements
for certain electronic waste items covered under
SB 20 legislation, most importantly CRTs (Cathode
Ray Tubes).
The approval will
remain in effect for a period of two years and
is renewable.
